Talkative Tuesday

I don't know why I feel like I haven't blogged in awhile considering I just did a posting on Sunday. This week so far has been good. I started the week out with a clean house, and all my laundry done minus a load in the dryer that needs to be folded. The weather has been splendid so far. Last night I spent some time outside with my Lovey while I watched him weed-eat. Thank goodness my allergies didn't act up. Dinner was good, although it was a bit unexpected. Mike invited Papa Ronnie (his dad) and lil' Cameron, whose 3 to come grill out some steaks and hang out. That was nice. Papa Ronnie alway's grill's the best steaks...hands down. We had mashed potatos, cream corn, crossaints, apple sauce and a salad. Very good, but my Lovey will be eating left overs. I am so excited about my sister, Amber and her hubby, David coming to town to stay with us. Not to mention this will be our first house guests since we have lived there. I hope the bed's compfy. Saturday, Amber and I are heading to the Nashville Flea Market to do some treasure hunting. I haven't been in so long, and I have been itching to go!! It will be good times. Well. I am at work right now, and so much for paragraphing this posting. I have a stack of paper's I must go through and delete on the computer...not to mention the gazillion papers I need to scan. Ugh. Anyways. Hope everyone has a great day today! :)

Why I Won't...

So I came across one of Husband's books, and it's called...(I can't believe I am sharing the title), "Uncle John's Fast-Acting Long-Lasting Bathroom Reader", yeah..pretty funny. It's actually pretty interesting if you haven't seen it. It's one of those books that contains all sorts of topics and things you would never think to ask or whatever. So...I'm looking through it and there's the question asked What is really in Hot dogs? YACK! ((GAG))

All manufacturers must list their ingredients on the label. Beef, pork, chicken, turkey, etc can only be used if the meat comes from muscle tissue of the animal. If you see the words 'meat by products' or 'variety meats', the hotdog may contain snouts, stomachs, hearts, tongues, lips, spleens, etc. Frankfurters once contained only beef and pork but now can legally contain sheep, goat and up to 15% chicken. Hot dogs are made by grinding the meat with water, seasoning, sweeteners, perservatives, salt, and binders.

Now, that that's said...what kind do you eat??

Thinkin' Outloud.

~ I have started taking my Phentermine again. I went to the doctor on Wednesday, and thank goodness, she was willing to put me on it again. I started yesterday morning, and I can already fill it. I know, I know...alot of people think pill popping is horrible, but this is my last resort. Alli didn't help, Hydroxycut is just a waste of money..but in the past I had great results with it, so hopefully I get the same this time.

~I'm really looking forward to having dinner tomorrow night with my parents. It's funny how when I lived with them, it seemed like due to my part, I would hardly ever see them due to me being out and about and coming home just to say "How was your day, and I'm going to bed"....but now I look forward to seeing their faces, and actually talking with them. Strange how when life changes, you change.

~Right now, one of my sweetest friends, Joy is on her cruise. She, along with her mom and several other family members set sail yesterday around 4. I know she was excited, and I can't wait to hear all about it...and see pictures!! :)

~For the mice update in our home...we have set poison traps all over the house, and I think it's starting to work. I was folding laundry lastnight, and I heard one in the hall closet. It's such an erry sound to hear. It clawing away at a box or something. Give's me chills. My hubby thinks I'm dramatic for constantly looking when I hear a noise. Haha, Leave it to Liz as I say.

~Work has been good so far for me. I have had a few car loans done...and to see that people will actually give you a chance to save them some money is encouraging. Who wouldn't want to possibly save some money on a car payment? Now if only I could get some customer's to open some saving and checking accounts...that would be wonderful!

~As far as our house goes. Mike and I are wanting to buy it this year, that has all along been the plan. It's getting closer and closer to that time, so hopefully we will be Homeowners in 2009!! :)

~I'm excited about March 21st!! For all you Edward lovers...it is when Twilight will be out on DVD for sale!! :) I cannot wait! Although lately, I must admit I haven't done alot of reading lately. I'm in the second book..."New Moon"...and it's great! I just haven't made time for it. Maybe this weekend I will finish it up!

~TGIF!! Hope everyone has a safe and happy weekend! Although this TN weather is crazy dreary...I'm looking forward to laying low! :)

So, apparently I got Fooled!

Yes. Today, at this very moment..I am not typing away at the office, I'm not constantly looking over my shoulder...I'm not even answering the phone every 2 seconds. Why?? Because I am sick, again. Bummer. Tuesday, I had the blessing of stomach issues in which I was a tough girl and suffered through with it while I was at work. (I know, I hate when sicklings come to work, but I would have made them short staffed had I not come in!). I thought I solved it by taking pepto and some immodium that night. Yesterday, I had a scratchy throat, but I could handle it..everything felt much better in other departments. So, this morning I wake up and OWEEEEEEEEEEEE! As my sister said, it felt like blades slicing her throat everytime she swallowed and boy was she right! Along with that, my ear is doing this crazy pop sensation. No fun. So, I guess when I said I wished I could stay home with the hubby sometime on his vacation this week, my wish came true. Only in a different way. :(

Depression Cooking with Clara

I have fallen in love once again with some Youtube episodes. I first learned of it earlier this evening while watching the news. It's called, "Great Depression Cooking with Clara". Upon hearing of this, it sparked my interest. SO...I googled her. She is an amazing woman. At 93 years old..she still cooks, and shares her memories from her childhood...hoping no one will ever have to go through what she did. In today's world...we can somehow relate to Clara, who grew up during the Great Depression, living on nothing but simplicity to survive. It's amazing to see her tell of her stories while cooking delicious yet simple foods. As what they say about Clara is.."the magic of her is that she can turn lemons into lemonade and potatos into just about anything. And although she had a childhood most of us cannot imagine, she was able to make the best of it and turn those trials into lessons we can all learn from." Take a look at her YouTube episodes!! :) Oh..and to all you Facebookers, she even has account too!!!

Pointless.

So, this morning I have absolutely no point at writing this posting. I guess to take up some time before I start scanning away paper's galore here at work.

~I am not digging this layout I currently have right now. Although I love Delightful Dots, I do believe I chose a least favorite layout of mine. It reminds me of a baby blanket. Lastnight when I was on my blogging kick, I changed it to this, and ended up being too tired to fool with it any longer, so I kept it. I'll change it tonight.

~This past weekend, I was amongst the sickly. My hubby was in bed all day with a stomach bug, or something, so I was with it constantly. My poor Lovey. And then my sister, Angel....she has a 102 temperature with a throat that feels like razorblades. Ugh. Stinks. I hope they both get to feeling better, and no one else gets sick.

~I have been hearing this new song on the radio, and it is so sweet. It is called, "It Won't Be Like This For Long" by Darius Rucker. I think about our good friends, Jimmy and Michelle who just had a baby girl. Definitely a tear jerker song.

~And about lastnight's final episode of the Bachelor...? I must be a loser, because I never have been able to get into that show. Nope..no jumping on that bandwagon. There's only a few things I actually watch on Tv...and even those aren't on a regular basis. I did fall in love with that one show, along with the hubs.."The Secret Life of an American Teenager". And with that, lastnight we watched the past 2 episodes! Yeah, I can't even keep up with the favs. Luckily we can record it.

~I am so excited about the weather being warm this weekend!! 70's and sunny. Perfect in my eyes. My hubby is wanting a punching bag to go in our garage, so we're gonna go look for one on Saturday. :)

Well, that's it for me right now. I have to get back to work. Hope everyone has a great day!

Not Me Monday!

It wasn't me who almost passed out at the gym lastweek. It wasn't me who pushed myself way too hard like an idiot, in return to feel dizzy and weak.

It wasn't me who blew $20 bucks on a slot machine only to get frustrated in almost winning $3000-!!!!! Had to try it atleast once!!

It wasn't me who got home and didn't even unpack our weekend bags. You should see our room right now.

It wasn't me who spent an hr and a half reading blogs lastnight instead of getting to bed early after a busy weekend!! :)

Weekend Recap!

No pictures. I thought about snagging a few of my dad's on Facebook, but then I thought he'd probably post them on his blog, so oh well. We had the best time this weekend. For all who read this, and don't know..I had been counting down the days till my Lovey and I took our tiny roadtrip to Louisville. All of the family...well, not all but several...all met at my sister's house, and hung out for a bit. It was fun, and I enjoyed every bit of it. Along with the festivities, we celebrated my dad's and nephew, Chase's birthday! The cake was fabulous along with icecream and the food was delicious.
That night, after everyone left, Mike, Angela, Bob and myself all headed out for dinner. A favorite of mine and Mike's is Hooters. They have fabulous wings, and a sandwish I love. After that, I had the idea of heading to a Boat Casino in Indiana...we had a great time. I became Slot Queen, but luckily knew when to stop. The atmosphere gave me a headache with smoky air, and crowded people. As soon as we made it home, a shower was suggested for all of us.
Sunday was a loungy day. Bob watched the Cardinal's game while Angel and I stayed in bed looking at facebook and websites! Ahhh, sisterly love. :) Mike fed his WOW addiction and hung out with Bob. We made it out of there by 3:30 KY time, 2:30 our time...which was good because it was 5:00 and we were home! Hopefully we will be seeing them again soon!! :)
