So, I got bit by the blogging bug once again! I know, I created my last blog, "Life with Liz" and managed to delete it, oh say after a month?? I know, I know...how dare I? I did, although have some pretty valid reasons. First, to be plain honest..I suck at blogging. I feel like I have no purpose to what I write about. I mean, for heaven sake, I wrote about a freakin' sandwich in my last one! A sandwish!! Secondly, when I created that blog, my life was about to change. My role of a "fiance" was about to change in to a role of a "wife" which I knew would create endless possibilites to a new kind of blog. And last, I feel like the whole purpose of having a blog, is to keep family and friends updated with your life. That was something, I didn't really make a top priority. Honestly, the only times I would seem to blog, was in between phonecalls, and Carolyn's (my boss) errand runnings and appointments during the work day. I know, I'm a bad employee. But now, since my life has seemed to calm down a bit, I am here, sitting in our office at home, blogging.
Well...as of today, I have been married for 11 days, and some odd hours. People ask me all the time, how does it feel? Is it wierd being married now?? Honestly, no not at all. It's funny because I remember way back talking to my sister, Amber..."Hey Amber!" :), about her and David being married. She said we were married long before the paper was even signed. When she told me that, I sort of kind of understood, but not really. I hadn't found Mike yet. I had totally given up on the love thing ever happening to me. Going out on date after date, kind of became a routine. It seemed as if I dated just about every kind of guy in the world, and heard just about everything there was to hear. But when Mike and I started dating, the relationship started getting more and more serious, and the talks about where this relationship was going to go, and what we both wanted, I knew what Amber was talking about. I was already whole-heartedly committed to Mike, long before the papers were even signed. Long before he even put the ring on my finger, he had my heart. It's so wild how things turn out. Once thinking I'd never find this, it was literally always right in front of my face.
So now, the honeymoon is over. We spent a wonderful time in Fairfield Glade just pass Cookeville. It was awesome! We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath Condo at the Wyndham Resort. We decided that we wanted to load the jacuzzi tub and carry it home...ugh, if only that was the case!If I could load pictures off of my camera on here, I would post them. But until then, I can only describe it! The resort had a ton of things to do. Unfortunately, the majority of the activities were seasonal (Boating, swimming, golfing, tennis, etc), so with it being the beginning of December, we had a limited number of what we could do. The majority of our time was spent at the lodge relaxing and watching movies. The resort did offer daily activities such as craft making, massages, mani/pedicures, game hours, etc..but usually we slept in so late, we missed it! On Tuesday, we headed to Gatlinburg. I was so excited to show Mike around, considering he had never been. Our first stop was at The Wonderworks. (It's the upside down building right when you get in Sevierville). We had a blast! Every single activity played with your head. You had to literally think about what skills it would take to accomplish each task. Definitely recommend going. After that, we proceeded to the town of Gatlinburg, where the town was lit up with beautiful lights! It was beautiful. We went to every "Ripley's Believe It or Not" including the museum and Aquarium. We ate dinner at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., and absolutely loved it. Dang, I wish I could post some pics! Mike got a hat from there, and believe it or not, it actually looks pretty hot on him! What can I say?? Thank you, Lovey for such an amazing time!
What else is there? The house is comin' along. Lastnight, we went and did some Christmas shopping...(yes, and I'm still not done), and while out and about we picked up a Media Stand for our DVD/CD collection. I absolutely love it, and it looks great! Mike on the other hand enertained me with his frustration of not understanding how to put some of it together at first. But working together, he figured it out. And I might add, did a great job! Monday, he was off work, and organized the office. For everyone who saw it that weekend of visiting, saw that it was in dissaray just from moving, and not being able to put it anywhere. But now, the office is pretty much complete. I'm hoping to make this room a Ohio State Buckeye Theme. I told Mike this could be his little domain, with of course my little corner. ;-) I've found a comforter set for the daybed that is in here, and I'm visioning all of his awards/plaques on the walls...when pictures. It'd look so cool. Only time will tell when that will happen.
Other than that, I think that is just about it. My hubby keeps poking my side thinking that I won't figure out who it is. Hmmm...Such a dork. :) But he keep's me smiling. That's all that matters. Hope everyone has a wonderful night, and I hopefully shall be back tomorrow. :) Till then...
