So what....

Lastnight was pretty amusing. Mike and I don't fight much...we pick on each other that will last 5 minutes, and then we're back to our ol' selves chasing one another through the house, tickling each other...and basically just doing all those childish-adult things.
I had gotton home around 6:00 from taking a grocery-run to Krogers. I already had a headache and had a million and one things going through my head of what I wanted to get accomplished. From making a nice dinner, to proceeding to attempt to make a surprise Peach Cobbler for my Lovey, to even make myself feel like Wonderwoman by getting all the laundry done, and the house cleaned by 8:00 to relax and read the last few pages of my book.
What went from one comment taken the wrong way to the car being a mess...to me having a woman meltdown, I realized why in the world do I have to accomplish all in one night? What's the big deal if the house doesn't get cleaned tonight? What happens if the laundry doesn't all get done? Nothing. Mike made me realize that lastnight. That so what if what I want doesn't get accomplished all in one evening...the world still keeps moving. And Mike still loves me!!
Needless to say, we had a nice dinner...Cheeseburgers on the Foreman, and a delicious Peach Cobbler that was so easy to make for dessert! :)

Not Me Monday!!

Time for some guilt-free, theraputic "Not Me Monday"! It's been awhile since I have done this, so this should be good. :)

It wasn't me who read 15 chapters of my "Twilight" book in 2 days! It wasn't me who lounged on the couch soaking up Edward's words instead of dusting and vacuuming our ever-so-clean house. :) It also wasn't me who "made fun" of my sister for falling in love with a vampire in a book. Yes, yes, yes...It isn't me who is currently eating my words! hehe.

It wasn't me who went to Target and fell in love with the new scent that Suave has come out with, only to come home and throw away my 90% empty bottle of Salon Shampoo and conditioner. It wasn't me who had a husband gather my shampoo and conditioner bottles out of the bathroom trashcan to say that we don't work to waste perfectly good shampoo. OOPSY...

It wasn't me who wanted to continue to stay in bed with my ever-so-peaceful sleeping hubby this morning.

It wasn't me who was challenged at melting white chocolate for Mike's Valentine's treats. It wasn't me who was impatient at melting it in the microwave to then proceeding to melting it on the stove which ended up burning. It wasn't me who had to throw out the first mix, and proceed to melting it in the oven, which ended up turning out perfect for the popcorn. :) It wasn't Mike who ate so much of it, he ended up feeling yuck at the end of the evening.

And finally, it wasn't me who got aggravated at a person at work when they decided to come to work sneezing, coughing, and complaining about how bad they felt. If you're sick, stay home!!!

Surely Not...

So my sweet husband and I celebrated our Love Day this evening. I came home, showered, did my hair and makeup...looked really nice, and so did Mike. Our usual going out attire lately consists of hoodies, and jeans...but tonight, it was special. Before leaving, we gave each other our cards, and gushed over how much we loved each other, yada yada yada.
Then my sweet husband comes out and says, "I have a surprise for you, it's something you have wanted for awhile now, but you have to close your eyes."
Of course a million and one thoughts start shooting back and forth in my head. "Surely not", I thought to myself. As my eyes are shut, I hear the laundry room door open...."what in the world does he have??" I thought anxiously awaiting.
"Mike....can I open them??"
"Not yet...I'm trying to get it to calm down..."

I immediately open my eyes to find...................

What can I say?? He got me my dog. :)

Sunshine and Sticky Notes

Staring out the door, all I see is blue skies and big, white, puffy clouds. What seemed to be an alert of severe weather and winds up to 50 mph...turned out to be a gorgeous, sunny day. I'm here at work with my flip flops on (yes, we wear flip flops here), and the door open, wishing I was at the Charlie Daniel Park running/walking my cares away around the track. I am so ready for Spring to get here, I'm getting antsy. As my BFF and I went walking around her neighborhood the other day, I noticed the bulbs on the trees, preparing to blossom.

Speaking of work...we are accomplishing one thing...one thing that includes sticky notes. We have to write everything down that we do on a sticky note. Yes, everything. Some...not as detailed as others, but you know. It's a new task that will determine what each person would rather do and achieve during the day. Interesting.

Tonight, is my first night back with my girl's participating in our Wednesday night Bible Study. I am so excited. I don't have the actual book yet, only copies of what the lesson is for tonight. It's over "Faith and Hope"...and we all could use alittle Faith. I can't even recall what the name of the book is, but I will definitely update on what I am learning.

Lastnight, my heart melted. I was having a hard core attack of indigestion, which in turn made my appetite non-existent. So...I proceeded to fix Mike a Totino's Sausage pizza. Pretty good for .99. We were hanging out in the office doing what we each do, and the timer then rings. I bring him his pizza and napkin along with a fork. (I am really making a detailed description of what I am telling you.) He looks at me with a serious face and says, "You know I really don't know what I would do if I didn't have you with me." I know I cry at everything...but I literally wanted to just collapse in his arms and hug him forever...with his pizza in hand and his gear on his head. He makes my heart smile.

Along with my episode of indigestion...I made my way down to the store and bought me some of the best Antacid supplements. In the past, I would rather suffer than gag on these supplements like Alkiselzers or Tums...but the ones I got are like candy!!!!

Tums Smoothies in the flavor, Berry Fusion is what I picked up and they give me relief so quickly!! I highly recommend to those who are in the same boat as I am!! :)

Recap!

We had such a great time lastnight at the game! I had been looking forward to going all day, and seeing Jimmy and Michelle. She's due in about 2 1/2 weeks..so pretty much this was gonna be the last big treat they'd get to experience without the little one. **I got pictures...but of course, I can't upload them yet on the comp! Boooo!** Unfortunately, the Ducks lost...Mike and I were the only 2 oddballs in the place supporting the Ducks. It was humorous, though. The lady behind me, I was tempted to smack. She kept hitting my chair, and to make matters worse...her voice sounded like literally a 3 yr olds! Everytime she screamed, it pierced my ears! Ahh!

Well...I'm so glad the weekend is here. Tonight, Mike and I are joining Christi and Tina for dinner at Logans. Love, love, love. Their Santa Fe Talapia is amazing...so I'm thinkin' that will be my dinner.

Tomorrow is going to be 68!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES!!! :) Michelle and I are meeting to get our nails done. It's been soo long since I have had them done...and I'm thinkin' about just getting a manicure done since my nails are lookin' so good!! I'm tellin' ya...God did wonders on this! I never thought I'd be able to kick the habit! :)

Fun!

Woohoo! I'm so excited about tonight's event! Mike got us tickets to go to the Nashville Preds game! Our good friends, Jimmy and Michelle are coming with..and it will be so good to see them. Funny thing is..is Mike's a huge fan of the Aneheim Ducks...so, looks like tonight we'll be rootin' for them! :)

Another crazy thing...you should see my nails! Yes...I said my nails. For the LONGEST time I have had the worst habit of biting my nails. I have always wanted to kick the habit, but you know how hard that is to just quit cold turkey? Well, apparently I did without even realizing. They are looking sooo good..and Mike is so proud of me! Yayy!

Wednesday Ramblings...

~ So, is it now Frosted Flakes that is giving me indigestion?? This is absolutely crazy! I knew that spicy foods, citrusy fruits, iceberg lettuce....and anything of that nature gives me never-ending heartburn...but frosted flakes?? That was my morning pick today, and now I'm suffering. Grr.

~ I cleaned my Wedding Ring Set...and it's a blinging!! I still to this day, find myself just admiring and staring at my rings. He did such a great job, and I wouldn't have anything else. I know it's not the most gigantic of the ring world...but it's perfect in my eyes. Gosh, I love him!

~ I watched Forrest Gump lastnight...well, not all of it. My sister, Angela had me laughing so incredibly hard about some stuff on our joint addiction, Facebook. Whew...I was rollin'! But back to the movie...that is one of my all time FAVORITE movies!! I think it will always be a classic in my eyes...good ol' Tom Hanks. Love.

~ I am praying my contacts come in today! I hate wearing my glasses out and about...except when I'm at home.

~ Tomorrow night is the Predator's game, and I am so pumped! Mike got tickets earlier this week, and our good friend's, Jimmy and Michelle are going with. Yayyyy! :)

~ Lastnight, I recieved such an exciting text message from my sister, Amber!!! Her and David are having a baby!!! She is going to be so precious as a prego lady!! :) I'm so excited for her and David..they will be such good parents!

~ My hubby recieved an award lastnight at this "meet and greet" thing after work...as he called it. He did the most Mortgage Loans this quarter than anyone in his area...! $800,000 was his total!! You go, Baby!! :)

~ I went to Hobby Lobby lastnight, and bought the most adorable shelf to go in our entryway. I have been wanting one for the longest time...but wanted to find the exact one I loved...it's black with like a swirly effect on the top, and then the hooks to hang whatever. I love it. And then I got me a piece of cork board that I was planning on putting on the inside of our cabinet to hang resturant info..and important cards...instead I put in on the side of our fridge.

~ I think my phone is on it's way to dying. If I can only make it till Oct. 14th, then I can renew my contract and get a new one. The battery isn't holding worth anything, and it's starting to show it's age. It was a piece of crap when I got it pretty much. It proved itself within the first month! But oh well...just hold on alittle bit longer, buddy!

~ Well.. that's it for today's ramblings! I must get on with the day...Hope everyone has a great day! :)

Not Me

It wasn't me who realized how petty it was in venting about a friend who made a comment about my outfit. It wasn't me who should have taken it like a grain of salt, and just loved her for who she is, and what she means to me in this world. It wasn't me who jumped on the bandwagon and wanted to vent to several friends, just to start a gossip train. It wasn't me who Satan got ahold of!

It wasn't me who got aggravated at the hubby when he told me he really didn't feel like driving all the way to OpryMills in Nashville. It wasn't me who was actually thankful he decided not to go since I was already beginning to get a headache...which lasted the whole day pretty much.

It wasn't me who spent almost 2 hrs...yes, 2 hrs in BigLots!! It wasn't me who went aisle to aisle and then some...looking like a kid in a candy shop! It wasn't me who bought 2 sets of curtains for the kitchen at $7.50 each!! It wasn't me who got overly excited once I hung them up because they matched so good!!

It wasn't me who was such a SuperBowl Party-pooper! It wasn't me who went to bed at 7 and slept through pretty much the whole game, only to get up at 9:30...and then go back to bed to over sleep till 8:15!!! Needless to say, I made it on time to work, but I look like Crrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrapp!! My hair's a crazy mess!
