I so totally forgot to blog about this annoyance I have. I felt so strongly about this, that I told myself during the situation..."that's a blogging post for me"!
Saturday, my Lovey and I went and saw "Funny People" at the movies. Honestly, I don't know how to rate this movie. I'm confused with my thoughts on it. It is definitley misleading in more ways that one. The language was aweful (what movie now these days isn't?) and there were TONS of vulgar comments (like I say again, what movie isn't in today's world). The whole plot of the movie is a bout a comedian who finds out he is dying from a form of luekemia, and no matter what, he isn't truly happy until.....and that's in the ending of the movie. I don't want to give that part away. I honestly think I would wait and rent it if you think you want to see it. Going at 4:20 in the afternoon cost the Lovey and I 20 bucks...craziness.
Now I have never had children, so therefore I don't know yet what it is like to want to get out and go to a movie or where ever, and not be able to due to having no one watch the kiddos. I do, however, know that it is rude and annoying when you bring a baby (yes, not even a 2 yr old) to an adult movie. This baby was crying, whining and making all sorts of noises. The poor thing was probably trying to make it be known he was hungry or needed to be changed, and the parents (who by the way looked older than Mike and I and should have known better) just sat there and held him. Not to mention the other adult kept having their phone go off. Seriously people...get a clue. I feel bad in a way posting this because I know parents want to get away and have a fun evening like watching a movie...but other people do too, and when the cost is 20 Bucks to see a movie, I wanna watch it in peace.

I so agree with you on this point...and I have a kid. Bill and I learned our lesson early when we tried to take Grant to a movie when he was just a few months old. We sat at the very top of the theater hoping he would fall asleep. No such luck so we ended up leaving. I believe it's totally inappropriate to take young children to adult rated movies, no matter what the age of the kid is. Next time, you should go get a manager and let them take care of the crying baby. I know it's a free country and people can do what they wish, but no one wants to hear a crying kid when they paid 20 bucks for a movie. One time, we went to a late movie, like a 9:20pm show and there was a kid in the theater. Anyway, I hear ya girl...its very annoying : )
