Dear Abby:

I had to laugh at the posting of "Dear Abby" in today's newspaper, and just had to share!

Dear Abby,
How can my daughter broach the subject of her matron of honor's "beard"? We're not talking about a few hairs here, but a growth that would make some young men envious.

The wedding is coming up soon, and the bride and groom are concerned how it will look in the wedding pictures, but they don't want to hurt her feelings.

I, for one, have been taking quick swipes with my razor for years, and my whiskers haven't grown back thicker or darker, and I only have to do it once or twice a week.

Ladies, if unwanted facial hair embarrasses you, forget the myth that shaving will make it worse. -- Bride's Mom, St. Louis, Mo.

Dear Mom,
Before the wedding, schedule a "spa" day for the women in the bridal party -- manicures, pedicures, waxing.

When you get there, invite the "bearded lady" to join you in getting any excess facial hair removed. If she sees she isn't alone, she may go for it. And if she's resistant, your wedding photographer can always "Photoshop" the fur away.

Monday's Ramblings

~ Happy 100th post to me...Happy 100th post to me...Happy 100th post to meeeeee, Happy 100th post to me!! :) Dang! Seems like just yesterday I hopped on this bandwagon of bloggers!

~ I do believe I have never in my life been this hungry. I think I could seriously eat Kaci's dog food, and it might taste delicious. Crazy. I shared a bowl of Apple Jacks with my sweet husband this morning while in the shower...yes, I have learned how to multi task if I want to catch a few extra minutes sleeping. Eat breakfeast in the shower!!

~ My eyebrows look like two catepillar's are stuck to my forehead. I have never gone this long without getting them plucked and waxed.

~ I have had such a horrible headache all day long. It has seriously killed. I know it's because of the womanly thing. Ugh, what women go through.

~ I got so aggravated at my hubs lastnight. The vacation delima (as if it was a delima because it was already decided we just wouldn't be able to take a vacation together) got brought up once again. I have been dying to take a trip somewhere....anywhere...just a weekend, I don't care. I mention that I thought if I would have realized it was such and such weekend that so and so was going, I could have maybe gotton off. He continues to reply with, "Dang, that would have been nice to take a trip to Florida!" Now he says that after the schedule has been made. Gotta love men! lol. **I know it makes no sense in writing...but you know.**

~ I have decided I am not cooking tonight. I'm too tired. Isn't that horrible of me?

~ 30 more minutes. Just 30 more minutes. :)

~ My second favorite holiday is coming up, and I am so excited. I love the 4th of July!

~ I took Kaci to get her nails clipped Saturday, and the lady there said that she looked so much like a Spitz (Minitature American Eskimo), that they would just quote her under that if we were to get her groomed. I don't know whether to be upset or what. Oh well.

~ Well...off to balance! Adios!

Only in my Dreams...

Sitting on 106 acres of beautiful farm land in Lebanon...this is my dream home. Need I even say why??

It's so Hot, Hot, Hot!

I love Summer. I love the blue skies, the warm Summer nights, the flip flop, sundress wearin' attire I fully endulge in every day. But I do not, I repeat do not like this 100+ degree weather. Every time I walk outside whether it's five minutes or forty five minutes, I come back inside sticky, sweaty, and yucky. I know I could be all bundled up in sweaters and long johns (not that I wear those on a day to day basis during the Winter monthes, but still). I want those 70-72 degree temperatures on the screen when I pull up the weather channel. I want to have to carry my beloved jean jacket if I go somewhere at night. I want to have that option. But no way...not for Summer '09. This little bugger is determined to make me sweat. Maybe it's for all the whining and complaining I did when having to wear hoodies every day. I guess I will just have to rough and tough it out. :)

Oh Kaci...

When I got home after taking a quick run after work...My hubby and I decided to get cleaned up before starting dinner. While in the shower, we heard a huge crash (sounded like something had fallen from the sky it was so loud). I peaked out of the shower not knowing what I would find, and there was Kaci standing there with the metal vent dangling from her collar and a wagging tail. Apparently, she was used to the Ole' vent since she had it happen before. I wish I could have gotten a picture. It was such a sight to see.

Not Me Monday

(((Picture to come later)))

~ It wasn't me who avoided all incoming calls (or at least tried to) Friday night. I was seriously so worn out, I did not feel like talking to anyone. And seriously, as time goes on, I hate talking on the phone. If I feel like I cannot give you the attention you deserve, then I won't answer. Sorry.

~ It wasn't me who went grocery shopping Friday evening in hopes of making the yummy recipe off of Amber's blog...only to come home and fix myself a turkey and cheese sandwich and some chips.

~ It wasn't me who got brave Saturday morning in letting Kaci out, only to chase her down the street in my husband's boxers, tshirt (without an undergarment)...and hair a frazzled mess. Yeah, I bet the neighbor's saw a funny sight. LESSON LEARNED: I'm always taking Kaci on a leash...always.

~ It wasn't me who layed down and took a nap Saturday afternoon for approximately 3.5 hrs. I told you I was exhausted. And who would have known, Kaci slept that long too.

~ It wasn't me who woke up with the "eyes are bigger than your stomach" syndrome Sunday morning...because when the Hubby took me to eat at Cracker Barrel, I ordered something off the menu that wasn't in the norm for me...and I finished not even half of it. Shame on me. Kid's are starving in the world, and I waste. :(

~ It wasn't me who got all bummed out when friends cancelled Sunday evening, only to make the husband take me swimming at the in-laws. We had fun though. It was Father's Day after all, so I was happy we got to see Papa Ronnie and the fam. And not to mention...Kaci had fun too! :)

Thursday's Thoughts...

~ Today is my last day in training. It's really been beneficial, I think..considering I am new to the bank. I feel comfortable about being in a window come tomorrow. Great thing to say, is that we completed out training 2 days early. Go us.

~ Last night, Kaci was seriously driving me nuts. She'd bark and bark even when I would play with her for the longest time, take her outside, love on her...nothing would work. Finally, I came to the conclusion, she wanted to get in bed, because come 8:30 when I finally got in bed (yes, 8:30...I was worn out!), she calmed down. Amazing.

~ I am seriously gonna sleep in Saturday. No cellphones turned on, nothing. I deserve this rest having to get up at 5:45 every morning to drive an hour everyday. Ugh.

~ I have become addicted to Farm Town on Facebook. Lame, I know. I was telling the Hubs, you know you have a problem when you're driving down the road, and see a field full of crops, and wonder how much coins I could get if I harvested/sold them! Bahhhhaaa! :)

~ Today we have a Master Test for this training. Usually I am a nervous wreck about tests, because I tend to freak out, and over-analyze each question...but I studied hard last night, and I feel pretty confident in this. We'll see though.

~ This is Mike's first "Pre-Father's Day". Laugh it off, but Kaci really does know who her daddy is. I'll say, "Where's daddy?" and her precious little ears raise up, and she goes running around looking for him. It's sooo cute! So, I'm gonna make him a card from Kaci. My sister, Angel helped me decide what would be cute to put...I think he will like it.

~ One of my close friends, Denise...she looks like Lady Gaga since she got her new hairstyle. It's hilarious.

~ The chair that I had been looking for for the longest time, I found this past weekend. In my past postings, I spoke of how I loved the one's at Pier One. Those being pretty pricey, I went on to look at other shops. My favorite Goodwill surprised me! I found a chair I LOVE FOR $19.99!!!! I had a giftcard I used from my birthday, so in the end after taxes, I paid about 7 bucks total! WOW! If I can, I will post a picture at a later date! It's dark wood, with a springy light green upholstery! :) WOOOHOO!

~ I must go now....time to review! :)

It's Been Decided...

I have recently made the decision since Monday, to start bringing my lunch to work on a regular basis. I have always wanted to make this a habit and even a priority because well one, Mike and I aren't millionaires, and two...things are just so freakin' expensive when you eat out. I got a sandwish on Monday from the "Mellow Mushroom" just because it was within walking distance of where I am training this week. No lie, I spent over $8.00 on just a sandwish, and it was a matter of fact, a half of a sandwish! What the crap?! So yea..yesterday, I made me a yummy turkey and cheese on wheat bread with some chips and a rice krispie treat. So much cheaper, and in my opinion...nothing could have tasted better! This morning, I was running alittle behind schedule due to the fact Miss Kaci wanted to frollic and play outside in the yard. So, instead...I settled for a high-sodium Michelina's Chicken Fried Rice frozen dinner. Not too bad, but I will definitely be bringing my favorite tuna-fish for tomorrow.

Monday night, my sweet husband took me to see the early showing sneak preview of "The Proposal". Sandra Bullock has alway's been one of my favorite actresses, and in this one, she didn't let me down! It is now my new favorite movie! I told him as soon as it comes out on DVD, I want to get it. It was so funny, and cute! A toss up between a comedy and a chick-flick. Mike enjoyed it too! There wasn't alot of language, and no violence. The only vulgar part, if you want to call it that, was a nude scene with Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock. And even that, the scene itself isn't sexual, or anything. (They physically run into each other...thats all I will say!). And the funny thing is, is the pet that is in it, LOOKS LIKE KACI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everything about her, is just like Kaci when we first got her! So cute! :)

Lastnight, I started reading the ending of "New Moon". Yes, I know. I have slacked a bit, considering I got these books way back. When I saw the preview Monday night for "New Moon", I got inspired and motivated to move on to the next. It looks so good. I would say even better than "Twilight". We'll see though.

Well..Happy Humpday to all! I'm gonna go now, and finish my lunch! :) Have a wonderful day!

Update!

After waiting for 2 weeks for the results from my mole removings (sounds kind of gross), Praise God they came back clear!! :) I know that was just another wake-up call to stay my butt out of the tanning beds and sun!

Sunday Shouts!

Goodmorning everyone! Today is gonna be a good day. I slept so good lastnight..so good, that I woke up ready to start the day! We are heading out to Mike's parents house here in Lebanon for some pool time and some good food. It will be so much fun! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone!

Our air conditioner was not working too good lastnight during the fight. Luckily, having a family member in the air/heat business (Mike's dad), he was able to come out and look at it. Praise God, nothing seemed to be broke or not working correctly...just a dirty air filter. Thank you Lord!

I am seriously getting pissed at the Dermatologist office. It will be 2 weeks, 2 WEEKS MONDAY, and I have still not heard anything back. They have the results in the office, but the lady at the front desk said they have not been looked at. Makes me wonder if 1) something really is up, and they're getting more info or 2) nothing is wrong, and they figure I can wait. I didn't pay $350 to be put on a back burner. Pisses me off!

Tomorrow I head to Franklin for training. Pray I find my way and don't get lost. We never went. I didn't wanna go yesterday because we had too much to do. And now since we slept in, we don't have time to go because of the cookout. Oh well.

I am seriously starving.

I should be doing laundry, since I have a ton to do. Yeah...I think I might. Have a wonderful day!! :)

Job Update

I have seriously put the blog posting's on the back burner the past few days. I have been so busy it seems like with having a "real job". And I should seriously do a better job when I say "real job". I guess what I mean, is for the first time going on two years, I actually feel like I know what I'm doing, and understand 98% of it. Yes, 98% of it. Banking in general is the same..it's the same everywhere you go because the regulations are all the same. Federal Law is the law. But their own system, I am still learning.

Rewind back to Monday, the 5Th. I was so anxious. I drove to downtown Nashville, to just one of the corporate offices for orientation. Once I got there, I was calm. Everyone is the room was in the same boat I was. Afterwards, I headed to my home branch where I would actually be working. My co-workers were so warm and welcoming. I seriously could not ask for a better bunch of people to work with.

Today was my first day in a teller window running transactions and helping customers. I loved it!! Customer's seemed very patient with a newbie helping them, and just friendly in general. At the end of the day, balancing and all...I came up a dollar short. Which my head teller was awesome being that I was new to the system and we were as busy as we was. So I was relieved that it was fine...although I am determined to search high and low in my straps for that extra dollar. :)

I can honestly say, I actually look forward to going to my job now. I look forward to doing what my job title consists of. I am so thankful.

Next week I head to Franklin, Tennessee for my teller training in the class room. I'm looking forward to it! I know it will be easier to sit through the class learning and being able to apply what I am doing right now this week, with the books. (If that makes any sense!)

Hope everyone has a great day! Pray for my hubby! Tomorrow he is interviewing for an Asst Mgr's position at his branch! :)

Friday's Thoughts.

~ Happy 6 mth Anniversary, Baby!! I love you!! Crazy how we have already been married half of a year! Time has flown by, yet in a way it seems like yesterday we were standing at the courthouse. Craziness.

~ Today is my last day here at the SF office. I am sad to leave the friends I have made here, but so thrilled to be starting a new job that I know I will love.

~ This morning, I scanned the yard to check and see if there was anything that needed to be picked up since the yard people were coming to mow this afternoon. This is what I find.

Yes, that is a turtle...a pretty big turtle!

~ Tonight, we are heading out with Christy and her girlfriend, Tina to the Olive Garden. Yum Yum! It's Christy's belated birthday dinner! Can't wait to see them! :)

~ Then tomorrow night, we are heading to dinner at Sakura's with good friends, Lee and Bridget along with sweet, Anita. It will be great to catch up with all of them.

~ I hope the Dr. calls today to let me know the results of what they took off on Monday. Kind of nerve racking.

~ I'm tempted to see if I can cut this day short, and leave alittle early. Who knows if I can though.

~ TGIF.

~ I wish I was going to the beach sometime soon!

~ One thing that I am so excited about..is having my day off during the week! That will be so nice to have again! Woo Hoo!

~ A blast from the past just called here. Scary.

~ Last night, Kaci did something. All I will say is that it was Silent, BUT deadly.

~ My rose bush has yet to look the slightest healthy. How come I can't grow anything!!!?!

~ What's every one's plans for this weekend??

You Decide

Ever since our beloved, wonderful, sweet Kaci has come in to our lives, I have often wondered where her "mask" was coming from. For those who have met Kaci, knows what I am talking about. For her to be a Maltese-Pomeranian...I have seen very few MaltiPoms who have this distinct marking. Research upon research at various pictures of breeds, has raised a question in my head. Is Kaci really what they said she is? Mike swears that she is a Malti-Pom, and she very well could be, I just wanna know what you think. Either way, we will by no means take her back to where we got her. We will by no means start a dispute. She's healthy and well and the vet has seen no concerns. And most importantly, she's stolen both our hearts. :)

This is Kaci after her bath. Notice her
"mask like" feature on her face.

And this is a picture of an American Eskimo
in the family of the "Spitz" Breed.

This is a picture of a Malti-Pom I found
online.

And dang it, I wish my other picture of Kaci would come through, but it hasn't!! You decide what she she looks like!

Not a Big City Girl

This morning was the morning I had to drive down town to turn in all of my New Hire Paper work. I made sure I had plenty of time to get there. I'm horrible with directions, I would say. I hate driving to some place new especially on a deadline. Directions in hand, I went round and round in the same exact area. Finally, I found a cop. Now, my husband laughed at me because if anyone knows him, he has always said I had a thing for badges and blue lights. He's lame. :) Luckily, I had just had to drive 2 lights up and I was there. I have never really had the desire to live in the big city. Yes, the shops are nice, and having it near by would be wonderful...but I hate traffic. I hate constant red lights every 2 feet. I just hate it. Once I got to the corporate office, I met with a sweet, young lady who was probably my age or a little younger. She told me the in's and out's of what to be expected on Monday morning. I am so excited, and honestly, I'm not that nervous. I think because I worked in a bank's environment for so long, I kind of already have my feet wet. Dress code's the same pretty much as when I worked at Wilson Bank. Pantie-hose days are in my near, near future. Speaking of dress code, what I have been allowed to wear here at SF...is so totally different that what I am going in to. So, last night I ventured out to my favorite "Boutique" as I like to call it, AKA The Goodwill. I bought 2 dresses, about 8 or 9 skirts, 1 3/4 sleeve length blouse, and 2 pairs of heels for approximately $54.00!! I am so stoked!! And I made my husband happy! Now, all I need left is to get some more blouses, and I will be set. I'm thinkin' along the lines of TJ Max or Marshalls for those. Ready or Not new job...Here I COME!!!!!!!!!! :)

What's in it for Wednesday??

Today's been such a good day! Sun is shining against blue skies. Amazing weather, although it is steamy hot! Thank the good Lord I have a fan under my desk, and an air conditioner that it working.

I have Kaci with me here at work, and Jennifer has brought Hunter here as well. They just play, play, play. She will be conked out when we leave here. 8 hrs straight full of chasing each other, biting one another...the whole she-bang. I'm glad she can play and have something to occupy herself with.

I am starting my new job on Monday. As of Friday, I will no longer be working at State Farm. I'm excited to start doing again what I love to do, which is teller work. I'm a little nervous, but I think that's just normal. I'll be fine. Tomorrow I go downtown to First Tennessee's Corporate office to sign the New Hire paperwork. Then on to get some new dress clothes this weekend. Fun Fun.

Anyways. Hope everyone is having a great day!! :)

Weekend Recap!

This past weekend was not only a busy one, but a great one! After 3 long years, I (along with the others in the family) finally got to see my older brother, Michael and his wife Georgia. Atleast I am guessing it was 3 years ago, if not longer. I cherished every minute of it, every picture...and every laugh we shared. It's funny to look back on how we used to bicker and fight, only to grow up to see such a wonderful and loving man he has become. I'm so proud of who he has become. He has chased his dreams 100% and I only wish I could be more like him. The weekend just was not long enough. Him and Georgia finally got to meet Mike...which I was totally stoked about. They hit it off, and hopefully one day soon, we will both be able to take a trip to see them in California!

Mike and Michael meeting for the first time!! :)

Family Picture! ((Mike looks thrilled!))

Kaci meeting Tobi for the first time! She became very fond of chewing on his tail!

Such a great time with them!! Love it! :)

I think this picture pretty much say's it all!!

**Due to my pictures not being able to upload with my device, I owe the great photography to Mom and Dad! Hope you don't mind me stealing the pics!!**

Today was a short day for me. I didn't want to mention it to anyone, because I didn't want to hear any "I told you so's" or what not, but I finally have had the wake up call that I knew would come eventually. I have officially decided to stop 100% tanning. If I do look tan, it's gonna be completely owed to spray tan's and lotions. I went to the Dermatologist to get one mole removed. Five moles later, and a moment of coming close to passing out...I left all bandaged up. With the history of my mom, I knew that I would be hearing what I had been told all along. I cannot go outside without applying some sort of sunscreen. Thankfully, she said I do not need to live like a hermit. It's scary. It's scary to know that WHAT IF something comes back abnormal. The doctor said that she thought everything looked fine, but just to be safe, she wanted everything removed. Two on my leg, one on my arm, one on my left breast, and one in my scalp. I have learned that I can't look at needles, or the results on myself. I looked down at my arm, and slowwwwwwwly, I felt as if the life was being sucked out of me. Thankfully, I held tight to my white wash cloth and sipped my sweet tea the nurse gave me (she thought the sugar would help). So, just pray everything will be ok.

Along with having more bandages on me at one than I have ever had, I stumped my pinkie toe pretty bad. It is still throbbing. So that added two more to the number.

Right now I am waiting for my husband to arrive home. I ended up being a whiny butt, and chose to stay home and lounge on the couch instead of attending a going away party for his asst. mgr and co-worker. I just wasn't feeling like "Dave and Buster's" tonight. So, right now...I am about to head to the living room and watch a repeat of Jon & Kate Plus 8. Have a wonderful night!
