My New Favorite!

I have a new favorite show. It's comes on weeknights at 8PM on HGTV....which is one of my favorite channels. Last night, one of my BFF's came over to hang out with the intentions of doing some crafts and what not. Nope, instead we watched 2 hours worth of House Hunters. This show, I could seriously become addicted to.

It was crazy how, for example the house we live in right now would be $250,000 on up if it was planted on California's soil. And people would seriously pay that!!!! I couldn't get over it! There was one lady, my age, who bought a house for $269,000 with 100% financing, and her mtg a month was just below 2 grand. Now, I know that everything is different out there, meaning what they are paid, and what things are worth. But goodness...makes me happy what we are paying for ours and we are just renting right now.

Just know, that Mr. DVR will be recording this one! :)

True Confessions of a Shopaholic

I think you can already detect what this post is about just by looking at the title. I have an addiction. I laugh about it to myself because it's amazing to see just how different I feel when I have bought something. I love the high I get when finding a great deal on a particular item or items. My husband jokingly calls me "the Swiper" because supposedly I love swiping my Debit Card. But honestly, I don't care what kind of money it is...cash, card or check...I love it.

My newest addiction is going to the Goodwill or any type of thrift store. I think it's because I look at all of these blogs and websites that consist of re-doing things, and creating new things. I love finding old frames that I can make into something, I love finding old knick-knacks that I can easily transform into something beautiful.

Since I bought a new Coach purse a couple weeks ago, along with new running shoes, and new clothes before that (yes, I needed the clothes for work), I made a promise to my sweet Lovey, that I would for 1 month not buy anything. That includes eating out everyday, pretty much anything other than groceries and stuff we need. We are really trying to save money. And thank goodness, I would say Mike is more of a saver than a spender. At the time that I made this promise, I was thinkin' "Sure, I can handle this...no problem". But honestly, it's been hard. And it's my fault for putting myself in situations that tempt me. It's like an alcoholic going to a bar...they will be tempted if they are trying to stay sober. Why do I even go to stores (Goodwill), if I am going to be tempted?

Tonight, Denise is coming over to our house for "Craft night". I think she's going to work on Scrapbooking, and I on the other hand, have a few ideas to use some old frames and create something with ribbon and paint. Lastnight, I decided to venture in the Gallatin Goodwill where I was so tempted, it made me antsy. I found a beautiful Bronze framed cross picture that had to be from Home Interiors for $4.99. I found several plates that I thought would be lovely to get creative with for like .99 each, and a kitchen cart that I would have died to of painted for $9.99. BUT....since I made a promise to my Lovey, I put it all back AFTER calling and texting him. But really, why couldn't I have just realized that a promise is a promise and not begged him? It just shows that when you're addicted to something, you're willing to put reality to the side. Although, all of that stuff equaled out to be less than 20 Bucks...20 Bucks could have gone towards his new truck, or the house payment, or just something we really needed.

One of these days, I will be able to kick this habit....or maybe I'm just destined to be this way. After all, I am a woman. :)

Wednesday's Junk

- I must admit, I am in a blogging rut. I think it's where I blog 2-3 times, sometimes, a day, and I'm losing the desire to do so. And when you don't have pictures to add to it, sometimes that can make it alittle boring.

- I could have easily stayed in bed this morning. I was so sleepy.

- My Lovey is at his new bank branch today. I am praying everything goes great for him!

- The past two days, things have been different between Mike and I....in a good way! It's like when we were dating, and there weren't everyday stresses of life. It's so easy to get caught up in the daily bumps, that sometimes you can put those stresses on each other. Make sense?

- I am so lovin' the way my feet feel and look. Doing this pedicure is really helping!

- My stomach hurts.

- Tonight, one of my close friends, Denise is coming over for craft night. I'm excited! I have idea's I wanna attempt at.

- Hopefully, 6 Pm will get here fassssttttt!

Busy Bees!

This past weekend my husband, Mike...along with my older sister, Angela and her husband, Bob piled up in the ol' Ram, and headed about an hour South of Atlanta. We left Friday night about 8:30ish and arrived about 2 in the morning at the Best Western in Griffin, Georgia. I must say, after swimming for about 10 minutes with my sister, that hotel bed sure felt compfy. There's nothing like having the hotel's air conditioner on full blast with those hotel blankets.

Saturday, we woke up and got ready to be picked up by Amber and our mom to head to Aubry's house (Amber's cousin) for a celebration for Olivia Kate! It was literally like a sea of pink! We had the best time ooing and awhing over every piece of clothing, and baby necessities Amber recieved. Let's just say that lil' girl is gonna be one little stylish baby! Oh I just cannot wait till she gets here! And I know I'm not the only one! Amber is about 8 mths pregnant. When I asked what she felt like now these days...she replied, "Uncomfortable". I've never been pregnant, so I can only imagine what all it feels like.

((I once again did not have my charger, so I'm gonna have to snag some pics from Amber's page which I think came from my dad's facebook! :)))

While us gal's attended the baby shower, our guys headed to a local golf course for what was supposed to be a game of 9 holes...became a game of 18. Supposedly, they weren't able to finish, and got to hole 12. Saturday evening, we headed to a local resturant called, "Buffalos". I had never been there, nor heard of it, but it was mighty delicious. Come to find out, Mom said they are putting one in Hermitage, which is about 25 mins from where Mike and I live. Woohoo! At that point, I was feeling the tiredness. It was fun eating, and laughing talking about everything under the sun. After dinner, we all pretty much went our separate ways. The 4 of us headed back to our hotel, and Amber and the rest went back to her house.

Once we got back to the hotel, Angela and I decided to take a dip in the pool. Turns out there was snake in the pool wrapped around the ladder. It was like out of a movie. Once I saw a man walking toward his car that looked like he could do the job, he came over kicked the snake off the ladder. At that point, Angela and I were just in amazement that he himself wasn't scared like our fellas. Once the snake got to the other side, he reached in with one hand, yanked the snake out of the pool, and smooched it with his shoe....ending in, "You ladies have a good night!" We laughed about that the rest of the night.

Sunday morning, we all woke up and met David (Amber's hubby) at the Waffle House where he manages, well one of his stores. We call him the "Waffle King". Of course, I over ate like every other time I go there. The trip wasn't long enough. I would have loved to of stayed longer, like everyone else, but we had to get back to the swing of things. Kaci stayed at a kennel, and Bob & Angela's kiddo's stayed with a baby sitter as well.

Like I said above, I wish I had pictures...maybe I can eventually snag a few! :)

GiGi's CupCakes

This is a big thing here at the bank. GiGi's Cupcake's located in Hendersonville is one of the best Bakery's around town....so I have heard NUMEROUS times! Let's just say I am one happy girl today!

I think I'm leaning towards the Chocolate Oreo....Ahhhh, the temptation!!!

RIP

Rest in Peace little girl....we will miss you, Gidget! :)

Wtf.

So I found this off of FoxNews.com and just copied/pasted it. I know this sounds bad, but now I really, really never wanna eat at McDonalds. ((Gag))

Calif. — A 40-year-old woman has been found dead in a machine at a Southern California food processing plant that is a major supplier for McDonald's restaurants.

Los Angeles County sheriff's detectives say the woman's body was found early Tuesday at Golden State Foods in the City of Industry, an east Los Angeles suburb. Investigators believe her death was accidental.

No other details were given about her death or about the woman except that she was an employee.

The Irvine-based company has distribution centers across the nation. Its Web site says the company supplies McDonald's and developed the sauce for the restaurant's Big Mac in the 1960s.

And on a side note.....what in the world is this I read about a couple letting rats chew off their baby's toes???!!!!! What human(s) in this world could let this happen? It sickens me to know that people are like that out there. It's on FoxNews.com as well. One word. Pathedic.

Baby, It's Rainy Outside

It is one nasty day outside here in the sweet land of Tennessee! I woke up by Kaci licking me, wanting to go outside. I looked through the front glass door and said to myself (and Kaci), "Forget fixing my hair today!" You see, I am a few far and between of the girls who can wake up and magically have perfect hair. I am a girl who has to provide extra love and attention to get my hair to lay right. Yup, it takes work. So today, my loving pony-tail holder got put to great use today.

Now as of yesterday, that was one eventful, full of surprises, type day. I must brag on my hubby right now! :) He got promoted to Asst. Branch Manager at one of the branches downtown near Centennial Park! I am so happy for him! He seriously is one of the hardest working people I know. We have been praying for a door to open, and God provided that after many interviews. He checked out the branch yesterday, and said he really feels like it is going to be a good group to work with. His manager is close to his age, so he can obviously relate to him better. Yes, the commute is longer, but sometimes you have to take whatever goes with. I know he's excited! :)

Another crazy and totally unexpected thing that happened yesterday, is the Hubster got a new truck! Basically without providing the long story, is we got screwed when he purchased the last truck. The guys that sold him the truck from the dealership pretty much lied about the warranty we thought we were under. When some pretty expensive stuff started messing up, we weren't covered. With some strings pulled, and alot of discussing (AND LOTS OF STUFF PUT IN WRITING!!), we decided the best thing would be was to trade in his last truck and purchase a new one. In the long run we would be saving alot of money. It's lovely. It's a white 2009 Dodge Ram Crew Cab. I already warned the hubby that I will be getting a picture sometime soon of him and his new "baby".

(( Not the exact picture I wanted to use, but it will have to do for now! I'll get a better pic soon!))

Tuesday Thanks

* Thank goodness we found a hotel last night and got our room booked for the weekend. My thoughts were if we waited any longer with it being Summer and July...alot of places would be booked up. But yes, we got a room for this weekend.

* Thank goodness, I have a husband who accepts me and my crazy ways. I have temper tantrums. I have an attitude. I have pity parties. That's a side of me, I hate and despise, but that's me. That's something I have realized I am going to work extra hard considering I have seen it first hand what it can do to relationships. Thank you, babe. I love you more than anything in this world. Thank you.

* Thank goodness I'm having a fabulous hair day today. These days seem to come far and few between, so when it does happen...I'm a happy girl! :)

* Thank goodness there was fresh coffee this morning here at work. I was struggling this morning as far as waking up. Thankfully, I'm feeling "wide-eyed and bushy-tailed".

* Thank goodness I made a promise to the hubby I would not eat out during the week (work days) for one whole mth. So far, (even though this is the second day!) I have felt better.

* Thank you, "Jewel" for finally picking up the story line. I was really getting bored.

* And thank goodness, I have had another chance at living!!! Thank you, Jesus! :)

Bright Lights

I have decided that law-makers should make it illegal for people to put those outrageously bright lights on their vehicles. How in the world do they think it is possible for oncoming traffic to see? I know it sounds lame me saying all of this, but seriously...it gives me a headache.

Today has been a good day. Last night, when we got back home from the movie, I took 3 Benedryl so I could sleep seriously good. I konked out. If Kaci tried waking me up to go potty, I didn't feel it (usually she does this by giving me kisses). So, Mike and I slept till about noon. Talking about sleeping, I have had some crazy dreams. Dreams involving people of my past that I had forgot about, and hadn't seen in ages. And when I say crazy, I mean pointless more like it.

Speaking of today, I bought my first Coach purse, and I am in love. I could seriously see myself becoming addicted to these bags. But I did really good. This purse I got, regular $320...got for $79!!!!! Yeah! I was shocked. I was surprised the Hubby went for it. I can't go in to the deal I had to make with him since he let me have this, but I will mention a portion of it, I have to take my lunch to work for a whole month. Not too bad, eh?

I'm excited about this week ahead. Tuesday, we are heading for a cook-out/Movie night over at Jaclyne and Matt's house. Fun Fun. This week is a 4 day work week. I have Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday off! Yayyy! Friday night we are heading to Atlanta to stay in a hotel with my sister, and her Hubs. Then Saturday is my other sister, Amber's baby shower for Olivia Kate. I cannot wait to see everyone! It will be good times. Picture time I might add! :)

Well. Enough for the ramblings. I think I may go read my book. I know this blog was pretty much pointless! :)

Saturday Night Review

As of right now, if I hear the words, "Harry Potter" one more time, I think I might just scream. Seeing the same people over and over again in the past 24 hours, I think has sent my brain in to overkill. The sad thing about it, is it was my own idea. It was my own idea to watch all of the movies to catch up, so I would know exactly what was going on. For starters, it's just not my cup of tea. I never was able to get in to them. It was all.out.of.love. That is it.

Yup...all of them up minus the one in theatre. That one we went and saw tonight. Let me just tell you again, I did all for the love for a man. I felt antsy the entire time. The man in front of me couldn't quite come to terms with his cup being empty, because he kept bouncing his cup full of ice, kind of wishing there would be some sort of liquid that would appear. Very annoying. I was just glad my Lovey got to see it. He loved it.

On the other hand, Mike and I met some of our great friends, Matt and Jaclyne for a belated Birthday dinner for myself and Matt at Cheddars. Of course we had a great time full of laughter, and food. Mike and I gave Matt money for a bike he is wanting to eventually get. They gave me something I was totally shocked to get! And I am so excited!!

First was an adorable "Friends" frame with a picture of Jaclyne and I in it. It was a picture taken at the Court House when Mike and I got hitched. I love it!! The second part was a gift certificate to Coach! Yes, COACH!! I cannot wait to go, and put it towards getting a new purse. Tomorrow could be the day I lose my virginity in
the Coach Dept!! ((Did I really just say that??!!)) I have always wanted one, but never ever dreamed I would get one. Now, since I have a portion to put towards one, maybe the Hubster might give in. :) We'll see. That may be a post to come!!

**And the more I look at these pictures on here, the more it aggravates me! Arrghhh, Camera Phone!**

My Bucket List

What a fabulous idea for a post! I totally grabbed the idea from an old friend/blogger~ Katie from The Burts Bizz! I am sure everyone has some sort of list that they would hope to achieve before the day they die, right?? Of course, once reading Katie's blog, my wheel's started turning. What would I want to achieve??

1. Find a church home where both Mike and I feel welcome. Church has always been a part of my life. Yes, the past year, Mike and I have gotten out of routine of going (different story), but we have both discussed and agreed that we want to get back in to going especially before the kiddos come.

2. Visit a country full of poverty. I have the worst habit of feeling like I don't have enough, or constantly saying "I want". I think traveling to a country that is in deperate need of food, clothing, and shelter would be a wake up call, and a realization that I have everything I need.

3. Run a marathon. I have always loved running. The feeling I get when it's just me pushing myself to reach the stopping point. Nothing could feel better.

4. Go back to school. In this day and age, education definitely helps. I have seen this first hand.

5. Fly in an airplane some where. I have never flown. Yea, I know. No comments. :)

6. Visit my brother and sister-n-law in California. This will happen. It will.

7. See my family in Florida that I have not seen in ages (alittle over 11 yrs to be exact).

8. See New York City. I have heard from numerous people, there is nothing like it.

9. Have atleast one baby. (Hopefully more, but if God only provides us one, I'll be happy)

10. And if we are only able to have one child, adopt a child!

11. Become a better wife, friend, daughter, and sister!

Zucchini Bake

Tonight, I tried another yummy recipe! I found it off Cooks.com and honestly...I made up the name because for some reason, it didn't print it on the actual recipe. So, I'm calling it Zucchini Bake.

This is what their recipe called for...

2 cups chopped Zucchini
1 cup chopped tomato
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/3 cup grated parmesean cheese
3/4 cup of bisuit baking mix (I used Bisquick)
1/2 cup of milk
3 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp of ground black pepper.

I on the other hand dazzled it up a bit (I just love that word!). I added yellow squash, and actual shredded cheese at the last minute, and a 1/2 of a tube of Mild Sausage crumbled (use your own judgement has to how much)
And PS...I cheated and used Frozen chopped onions, and canned diced tomatoes!
~ Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease 10 inch pie pan. (I used a reg 9x9 Baking Dish).
~ Combine Zucchini, (Squash if you'd like), tomato, onion and Parmesean Cheese in prepared pie pan (baking dish). In a small bowl, combine Bisuit mix, milk, eggs, and salt & pepper. Beat until smooth, and then pour over vegetable mixture.

~Bake in Preheated oven for 30-35 mins, or until knife inserted in to center comes out clean.
**Note: Since I used a bigger baking dish...I upped the ingredients to:**
1 1/2 cups of Bisquick
1 cup of milk
4 eggs

Right out of the oven!

And finally...on my plate! :)

Please realize that these pics were taken with my phone, so the colors do not do it justice!!

Book Sale

Since I have gotten older, I have begun to have the desire to read. It's funny how when I was in Highschool, and even after...pretty much during my single days, reading was the farthest from my interests. I was always out and about with friends, and dating one guy after another. But now since I have become more of a homebody, I have wanted to get in to reading. The funny thing is, is I have a couple more books of Twilight, but honestly I don't really care to finish them up right now. Eventually, maybe yes...but right now, no.

So, today during my lunch, I headed to the Hendersonville Library. It's a big, beautiful, two-story brick building sitting out in a patch of trees. I already knew there was a chance they wouldn't let me get a card since I wasn't a resident of Sumner County, but thankfully since I had a card with a Wilson County Library, I was able to get what is known as a TLI card which basically I can only get a maximum of 2 items...2 books, 2 audios, anything. So that's not bad at all. The best thing that happened during my experience at the library, was that they were having a book sale!! :) I am so excited about what I bought. And not to mention, they were all 1/2 off. So I got 4 books for 5 Bucks.

This is one that I am most anxious to read. Taken place in the backwoods of Mississippi in 1943, Jewel and her husband give birth to their last child. Jewell learns to understand the lesson of learning to love what she feels is a burden, and seeing that this is God's way of smiling down on her.

It seems like it could be a tear jerker. I will definitely let you know my review on it when I am done!

This is a book I was kind of hesitant about getting, but crazy enough..I kept finding myself going back to it. My reason why I was hesitant about it was for one it's about a woman whose marriage is falling apart. After finding a note from her husband, humiliated and shocked...Mary Bliss finds herself telling a little white lie after another, until all of her white lies snowballs in to one. I thought for $1.50 it was worth a try.

About this pick, I honestly have no clue, but for the most part ever since seeing her on Regis & Kathy Lee way back, I have been interested in her, and her life.

What an awesome lady. Her determination and strength would be only a few reason's as to why I snatched this. When I feel like I can't do something, or can't achieve a goal, I should always remember what Helen Keller went through. I am so happy to have this book waiting on my bookshelf to read!

**Reviews to come later!**

Thursday's Thoughts

* Today's a dreary day outside. Make's me wanna lounge on the couch and watch a Lifetime movie with my Hubby (yeah right, he wouldn't watch those!) and Kaci.

* My hair's growing! Yayy! I want to grow it out long this year, and it's looks like it's on it's way!

* I am in love with Olivia Kate's nursery! It is sooo pretty!

* Speaking of Olivia Kate...I am so excited about going to the shower next weekend!! Yayyy!

* I told the Hubster I would cook dinner tonight, and do I know what I am cooking?? Nope. Guess I'll figure it out at some point! :)

* I cannot wait till my charger comes in for my camera! I can actually start getting updated pictures to post on here!

* This weekend, I promised my Lovey I would go and see "Harry Potter". I must be out of the loop, because I have only seen the first one. I won't have a clue to what is going on. Maybe Friday night, Mike and I can have a Harry Potter night so I can catch up.

* I am in desperate need of a manicure and pedicure. :(

* I am already wishing for 4PM to get here. Looks like 6 hrs to go!

Pickiness

I have one picky eater on my hands. And no, it's not my Lovey....it's Kaci. I never thought I would see the day when she would actually be picking out only one color of her dog food. It was the funniest thing.

Mike and I were in the kitchen cooking dinner last night, when I fed Kaci. She loves the Benefield Chicken and Noodle. I mix just a little up with her normal, crunchy dog food. I look over to see what she was doing (making sure she wasn't stuck to the vent), and all of the green pieces were scattered in front of her bowl as I looked closer.

Oh I how I wish I could have gotten a picture of that crazy pup!

I Could See It...

I could see myself skirtin' around town in this. It's the Harley Davidson Stallion. Includes features such as air conditioning, heat, radio...and possibly airbags (We were joking around about that at work).

But then again, for the price of one....I might as well buy a new vehicle.

Saturday

Today is the first Saturday I have had to work since being with the bank. So far, so good. I haven't felt like I have had to pull my hair out with a line of customers (knock on wood). The weather outside looks alittle dreary. I'm hoping in doesn't rain. My Lovey's out on the boat fishing with Papa Ronnie, and I'm in hopes of going swimming at my in-laws when I get off work...by myself. Truly, I'm stoked about it. I can relax on the float with all my trash magazines, and maybe even a start of a new book. That's my kind of Saturday.

Lastnight, the hubby and I went to LongHorns to eat dinner. Papa Ronnie even came to join us. It was a nice dinner full of laughter and good food. I don't think I had been to a LongHorn's since after Mike and I got engaged. It's always Logans that we go to.

Tonight is UFC 100. I haven't decided if I want to go with the Hubster yet. I have decided that I am alot like my dad. I would rather get to bed before midnight (much before midnight...more like 10ish at the latest). So no more laughter towards you, Dad! I'm the same way! :) I just feel better if I'm not up late.

This morning I saw the funniest thing. I know the Hendersonville people have to be used to seeing this, because going through town, there is a bridge you have to cross at Drakes Creek Park. Traffic was at a complete standstill for approximately 4 or 5 geese. These geese, you could tell, had the attitude of sassiness. Walking at their own complete pace not caring that people had places to go, people to see. I wish I could have gotten a picture.

For the Frill of It

This is what I want...and in this pattern. I may have to go splurge. :)

It's Vera Bradley's more traditional tote with pleat detailing, a wide patent band and bold, metal hardware. Inside the hidden magnetic closure top there's a gusseted pocket plus a one zip and one slip. Perfect for this season.

Wednesday Randoms

~ Thank goodness, I'm off tomorrow! I'm so happy. I'm looking forward to being able to sleep in alittle. Plus, there's a few things I need to get done around the house.

~ I am absolutely craving Chinese today. There's an amazing Chinese restaurant across the street from my work. Easy access. :)

~ I got my first counterfeit bill today. Sad face. Stinks that somebodys dishonesty effects me and my job. No, I'm not in trouble...it just goes against my teller number. It was a pretty good one though, so I didn't feel too, too bad. If it was an obvious one, then I would have been more upset. The life of a banker.

~ The weather today isn't as hot as yesterday. When I get in my car, I won't roast like normally.

~ I would love to get my nails done sometime this weekend.

~ My lovey last night while at dinner, looked at me and said, "I didn't know you could put this on cooked food" (pointing to the Lea & Perrins Steak Sauce). I just shook my head and smiled.

~ I could take a nap right now. (Yawn) I think it's because I'm hungryyyyyyyy, and we have been dead!

~ I love this scripture. I have in here in my teller window.

"When God leads you to the edge of the cliff, trust Him fully and let go. Only 1 of 2 things can happen, either He'll catch you when you fall, or He'll teach you how to fly." Revelations 3:8

~ This is all the randoms I have for right now...have a wonderful day!!

Movie Review

In 1958, as part of the dedication ceremony for a new elementary school, a group of students is asked to draw pictures to be stored in a time capsule. But one mysterious girl fills her sheet of paper with rows of apparently random numbers instead.

Fifty years later, a new generation of students examines the capsule’s contents and the girl’s cryptic message ends up in the hands of young CALEB KOESTLER. But it is Caleb’s father, professor JOHN KOESTLER (Nicolas Cage), who makes the startling discovery that the encoded message predicts with pinpoint accuracy the dates, death tolls and coordinates of every major disaster of the past 50 years. As John further unravels the document’s chilling secrets, he realizes the document foretells three additional events—the last of which hints at destruction on a global scale and seems to somehow involve John and his son. When John’s attempts to alert the authorities fall on deaf ears, he takes it upon himself to try to prevent more destruction from taking place.

With the reluctant help of DIANA WAYLAND (Rose Byrne) and ABBY WAYLAND, the daughter and grand daughter of the now-deceased author of the prophecies, John’s increasingly desperate efforts take him on a heart-pounding race against time until he finds himself facing the ultimate disaster—and the ultimate sacrifice.~ Rotten Tomatoes

After eating a delicious dinner at Cherokee Steakhouse and Marina (Steak, Shrimp, Baked Potato, Salad and Rolls), we came home to watch our newest movie the hubs had bought, "Knowing".

I wasn't impressed. Hubby loved it though. Maybe it was because I am not much in to Sci-Fi movies (if this would even be considered one). It started our extremely slow, and by the time it did get somewhat interesting, I had lost interest. The scene effects were great though, I will give them that. If you're gonna watch it, I'd say wait till it comes on a movie channel.

Kaci's First Sleepover Away From Home...

Kaci is having her first sleep over. Sounds pretty humorous, doesn't it? Maybe I have gone bazerk over this animal...treating her like my baby. But honestly, it is hard not to. This is the first pet that I have had of my own, like mine and Mikes. I have become so attatched to this animal, that sometimes I think to myself, "what is gonna happen when something happens to her?". I know God made animals to be companions to people, but seriously. So, I found myself thinkin' to myself "what am I gonna do about Kaci when we go out of town?". I didn't realize just how protective I would be over an animal. I found myself looking at each person I knew, finding reasons why I didn't think Kaci should stay with them. For example, I didn't want her being left outside in this heat so they could go about their daily activities. I didn't want her staying with anyone who would introduce her to people food (and yes, Mike and I are sticklers about that). After looking at several different kennels, I finally made the decision of one. It's called "Abby's Bed & Biskit" located in Hendersonville. I feel really comfortable leaving her in their care. The people there seem really sweet, not to mention it's owned by a father and daughter. The facility itself seemed very clean, and organized. She will even be attending what's called "Doggie Daycare", having the opportunity to play with other dogs her age and size. Hopefully, she will do well, and this can be a place she can stay at in the future!

The Great Debate.

A co-worker and I was having a debate on whether or not drinking water with a pack of crystal light in it, had the same effect has if drinking plain ol' water. What are your thoughts?

Fourth of July Weekend Recap

I wish I would have gotton some pictures from this weekend. Unfortunately, I still have yet to get myself a camera charger. And let me just tell you it has drove me crazy! Although there was no camera, we had a great time that I am sure I will remember for a while.

Friday evening, the hubby and I set out to grab a bite for dinner. I was so excited about going to Anchor High Marina in Hendersonville. Once we got there, it was so packed out, there was no place to park. So, we opted for our Habachi Grill instead, Koi which is closer to home. We rented a movie from BlockBuster called "The Uninvited". By far the scariest movie I have ever seen.

Saturday, we both didn't get out of bed till alittle after noon. It was wonderful to sleep in. Around 4ish we headed to his parents house for pool time, and good food. Although it rained the whole time, I still got some swimming in. Poor Kaci had to stay in the pin outside, which is fine with me usually...but I was alittle perturbed that it was raining like it was and she was getting soaked. She's just not used to that. Luckily, I minded my manners, and just took it all in. It was Papa Ronnie's 49th Birthday, so after eating steak and a bake potato...along with all of the sides, cake and icecream tasted wonderful. It was kind of sad though, that all during the celebration..everyone seemed to gather around the T.V. for the latest of the tragedy with Steve McNair. Aweful what happened, but I just can't stop thinking that if he would have remained faithful to his wife, he wouldn't be dead.

Sunday was a lazy day. Nothing exciting happened in our neck of the woods. We were in hopes of going swimming, but instead mother nature intervened, and clouds set in. I went and spray tanned, and came home to Kaci wanting to play. We gave her a bath, and as soon as that happened, she konked out. Mike's on vacay this week. Who know's what the evening holds. I may see if he wants to go see a movie. :) Any suggestions??

Bling Bling.

This is why I love my trash gossip magazines and websites. You find stuff like this.

Yes sir'ee..this is $25,000, solid bronze, 14-karat gold plated, custom casket was ordered for Michael Jackson.

The casket is called a Promethean and will feature a flame blue velvet interior and a hand-polished, mirror finish.

This is the same casket used to bury James Brown... and is extremely rare.

No thanks for me!

Gone By so Fast...

I know I should probably wait and do this for our 1 year anniversary...but honestly, I am just so amazed how time has flown by. 7 mths ago, already...I was standing with my Honey, family and friends at the Wilson County Clerks Office saying my vows to the man I love. They always say time will fly by, but I didn't realize just how fast.

I was so nervous before I got there, but literally once I saw him, I was so at ease.

Yes!!! Finally, I could say I was Mrs. Elizabeth Thomas!!

My BFF, Jaclyne and I...can you tell I was sooooooo extremely happy and excited??

Newly weds...this was taken after our ceremony at the resturant with family and friends.

So Stupid.

Yes, I am going to vent. Customer Service these days just blows me out of the water. In my last post, I mentioned how Kaci chewed my charger up while we were not home. So today was the day I decided to head down to Verizon and ATTEMPT to get a charger. They apparently decided when they made the phone (The Verizon Blitz), that all customers would like the car charger better than the home charger. I must be the odd one in the bunch because I would much, MUCH rather have the home charger. No Verizon store, literally (because they checked) in the state of Tennessee has my charger. And that's only one portion of the customer service I am talking about. I would think that they would want to keep several home chargers on hand, JUST IN CASE, some one out there would want to purchase one. Seriously. And I haven't even mentioned about how long I had to wait just to be acknowledged I was standing there waiting at the counter. Employee's would walk by glaring at whatever device they were holding. Then finally after 15 minutes of waiting, I got greeted. So now to sum everything up, I have to wait till Tuesday to use my phone. Kills me. I guess it bothers me more because we don't use our house phone. I don't even think I know the house number, in which I know I should learn. You really realize how much you depend on something when you don't have it. So to all who try to call and text me during the weekend, I'm not ignoring you, my phone is just literally dead. Call my Hubby if you need me. :)

Thank Goodness

Thank goodness it's Friday. I had the hardest time getting up this morning. Maybe it was because I went to bed at approximately 8:30 lastnight due to a terrible headache. Luckily, it's gone this morning. I think it was just a sinus headache.

Just when I thought this week would be a long, drawn out week, it seemed to fly by very quickly. In which I am surprised considering it's a holiday this weekend. My hubster's on vacay next week. He is in some serious need of a break, bless his heart. Although I wish I could spend the week with him, I'm thankful to have Thursday off. We're gonna be getting a caroet cleaner and doing all the floors throughout the house. WooHoo! Clean, Clean, Clean is what I will be doing on Thursday (maybe). Wink.

Yesterday, Mike had an interview for a Management position at one of the Hermitage offices. He said he thinks it went really well. We have been hoping and praying that this would come available. Our thoughts is whatever is meant to be, will be.

Along with the happenings of yesterday, my phone charger got chewed up by a furocious animal in our house while not at home. Kidding. Our Kaci had the joys of scouting out our bedroom the whole day and thought my phone charger looked chewable. So, my phone has been dead for the past 24 hrs. Verizon, here I come on lunch!

Tonight, I am hoping the Hubster will take me to Anchor High Marina for dinner. I absolutely love that place. It's located in Hendersonville. I promise you, if my Hubby gave me the choice to live in a house or a houseboat, I would pick a houseboat in a heartbeat. I love the whole atmosphere. I love the water. I love, love, love it!! And this marina is nice. Sitting on the water on a deck with the ducks, turtles and geese swimming around you....it makes dinner that much more nicer.

Tomorrow, we are heading to the in-laws for Papa Ronnie's Birthday celebration. The day will probably consist of swimming, laying out and good food. Not to mention Kaci playing with all of her doggie friends. :) Then tomorrow night, we will head to Jaclyne and Matt's like every other year. The 4th is my 2nd all time favortie holiday. I love it!

Hope everyone has a great weekend, and safe 4th! Don't burn any of your fingers off!! :)

Meet Clifton.

"1458 Good Days
The budget car salesman took all of Clifton's money until 49-30-1 football.
500 dollars my sister gives me $100 a month"

This customer is one of a kind. All of my co-workers told me to be prepared when he came inside. Luckily, I was..and delt fine with how he acted. I couldn't help but smile the whole entire time when he was talking about Farrah, Michael Jackson, Michael Jordan...and even some news casters. Thanks to people like him, my day has now been just that more interesting!! :)

Oh, and by the way...apparently every time he comes to visits, you get a note. This was mine today! My co-workers and I have no clue what it means!!
